Change Your VPS Hostname

By default, every VPS hostname begins with the srv- prefix. You can customize it in a few steps.

Step 1: Update the hostname in the VPS Control Panel

1. Log in at https://control.mynymbox.net:4035.
2. Select the VPS from your service list.
3. Open Settings and click Change Hostname to enter the new name.

Step 2: Set the hostname inside the VPS

1. SSH into your VPS.
2. Run sudo hostnamectl set-hostname example-server (replace example-server with your desired name).
3. Log out and back in; the shell prompt should now show the updated hostname.
